Undercrown 10 Gets A Thick New Size
For those who prefer bold blends in thick ring gauges—and there are many—get your cutters and lighters ready. Drew Estate has listened to customer demand and added a thick new size to its Undercrown 10 line. Simply dubbed Gordo, the new 6-inch-by-60-ring gauge cigar is shipping to retailers now.
Made in Nicaragua at the La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate factory, Undercrown 10’s blend consists of a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, Connecticut broadleaf binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. According to the company, the cigars are medium-to-full in body.
The Gordo comes in 10-count boxes and has a suggested retail price of $16.80 apiece, or $168 per box. This fat new cigar brings the Undercrown 10 line up to five sizes. (A sixth size, called Flying Pig, is only available internationally.)
Released in 2021, the Undercrown 10 line was made to commemorate a decade of its core Undercrown brand, which began as a more accessible, less expensive alternative to Drew Estate’s Liga Privada brand. To distinguish it from the original Undercrown, the 10 line features a yellow ribbon at the head and a slightly modified band denoting its commemorative status.
