New Petit Corona From Gellis Family Cigars
A 50-count cabinet of petit coronas called Essentials will be heading to retailers in a week or two, along with a stylish leather companion case. It’s the latest offering from Gellis Family Cigars (a branch of Warped Cigars) owned by cigarmaker Kyle Gellis.
Essentials comes in only one size, a quaint, small format that measures 4 1/2 inches by 32 ring gauge. The blend consists of Nicaraguan filler, an Ecuadoran binder and a lightly-hued, Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, but don’t be fooled by the diminutive size and light wrapper—this cigar is intended to pack a little more power than its appearance might suggest.
Each Essential has a suggested retail price of $6.99, or $349.50 per slide-lid cabinet of 50 cigars. They’re made in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera La Isla. Should you want to transport your Essentials in style, Gellis has also created a customized green leather travel case ($100) especially made to hold six of these petit coronas.
